In a story with star crossed fates, and betrayal, Felix Catton is poised as our Juliet. He is fated from the start to die tragically, his ultimate killer the object of his affections. Where Oliver falters in leaning into his role as Romeo, Felix is seen numerous times leaning into his role as the damsel in distress, even dressing up as Juliet during Oliver's birthday party.

It's difficult to see what's coming if you're not looking out for it, but throughout Saltburn's run, there are little hints to the true nature of the story, a tragedy turned triumph for one person and one person alone. Felix just so happens to be the catalyst for the change that happens in Oliver, his need for physical wealth and success eventually outweighing his love of Felix, ultimately leading to the latter's downfall.

"I don't know what you are, but I do know you make my fucking blood run cold."

Even when Oliver's secret has been revealed, Felix doesn't throw him out or let the secret out, he allows the party to proceed and even shows Oliver vulnerability one more time before he's drugged and killed; Oliver purging the drugs from his own system rather than dying with his Juliet.
